Choosing the right trailer
- Cage trailers (6×4, 8×5, 10×5): For furniture, green waste, tip runs and camping. The cage keeps bulky loads in place.
- Box trailers (6×4, 8×5 tandem): Low sides for soil, building materials and tip runs.
- Enclosed furniture and luggage trailers: Fully covered to keep your load out of the weather. The furniture trailer has a tailgate ramp.
- Car and motorbike trailers: Car trailers rated to 2,000kg and 3,000kg, and a motorbike trailer with ramps and tie-down points.
- Flat top and plant trailers: 4m and 6m flat tops for long loads, and a 3.5t plant trailer for mini diggers and rollers.
- Trailer and trolley packages: A trailer and trolley in one hire for house moves.

A vehicle with a towbar and a towing capacity that covers the loaded trailer, and a current driver’s licence. If you’re not sure your vehicle is suitable, ask your local branch.
You can hire most trailers by the day or the week, and many also have a 4-hour rate for quick jobs like tip runs. Each trailer’s rates are shown on its page.

For a house move, the enclosed 12×6 furniture trailer keeps everything dry and has a tailgate ramp. Our trailer and trolley packages add a trolley for the heavy items.
