Supporting Perth builders with delivery coordinated from the right location, late-model access equipment, and full WHS compliance.

Nine branches, delivery coordinated locally
Nine branches, delivery coordinated locally

Managing multiple suppliers creates headaches. With nine branches across Perth and specialist yards at Kewdale, we coordinate delivery from the location that stocks each item—fencing, toilets and sheds from Kewdale Site Services, plant and access gear from your nearest branch—so you deal with one team for the whole job.

Fleet averaging under five years old
Fleet averaging under five years old

On a busy construction site, machinery breakdowns stop trades and cost money. We maintain a fleet weighted average age under 5 years, with every item tested and pre-inspected to guarantee site uptime.

Building & Construction Hire FAQs

Common questions from Perth builders about site set-up, scaffolding, delivery and licences, so you can plan your hire before the first day on site.

A compliant site set-up for Perth builders typically starts with perimeter security and site welfare infrastructure. Essential requirements include temporary fencing panels, a lockable cement shed for dry storage, hygienic portable toilets, and clear site signage. Depending on site access and power availability, builders also include portable generators, solar lighting towers, and site offices. Classic Hire coordinates all site welfare gear through our Kewdale Site Services division.

We operate on a supply and dry-hire basis. We deliver complete aluminium mobile scaffold towers, brickies’ scaffold kits, and access components directly to your job site for your own qualified team or scaffolding contractor to erect. Under WA WorkSafe regulations, aluminium mobile scaffolding with a working platform height under 4 metres can be erected by competent site personnel without a scaffolding licence. For setups exceeding 4m, a licensed ticketed scaffolder must supervise installation.

Supported by an internal fleet of at least three transport vehicles per branch, we deliver across the entire Perth metro corridor from Yanchep to Bunbury. Standard deliveries occur Monday to Friday between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with early morning drops scheduled upon request. When booking delivery for site sheds, telehandlers, or heavy access equipment, ensure your site entrance has clear overhead clearance, firm ground access, and adequate space for tilt-tray vehicle positioning.

Licence requirements depend on the equipment type and working height under WA WHS guidelines. Telehandlers operated on site require an IT Licence (Gold Card) or a High Risk Work Licence (CN class) if equipped with a crane jib attachment. For boom lifts with a platform height of 11 metres or greater, operators must hold a valid High Risk Work Licence (WP class). For scissor lifts and boom lifts under 11m, an EWPA Yellow Card or proof of operator training is recommended. Our team checks compliance requirements prior to dispatch.
