Why Classic Hire

Why Classic Hire For Roller Hire In Perth

Rollers are the fastest way to compact larger areas and leave a smooth, even surface. Classic Hire supplies civil contractors, pavers, landscapers and builders with serviced rollers, delivered to site and ready to work.

Choosing the right roller

The right roller depends on the size of the area, the material and how you’ll get onto site.

  • Pedestrian roller (400kg): a hand-guided, self-propelled single drum vibratory roller for road-based parking bays, paths and new bitumen, as well as tennis courts and cricket pitches
  • Trench padfoot roller (1.6 tonne): remote controlled, so you can compact soil in trenches, sewers and pipeline works from outside the trench
  • Twin drum roller (2.7 tonne): a ride-on roller with dual drum drive, dual vibrating drums and articulated steering for asphalt finishing, road bedding, limestone driveways and pavement
  • Roller and trailer package: the 2.7 tonne twin drum roller supplied with a trailer

Serviced before every hire

Every roller is checked and serviced before it leaves the yard, and our team will take you through the controls at handover.

Roller Hire FAQ's

Our 2.7 tonne twin drum roller is suited to asphalt finishing, limestone driveways and pavement. For smaller paths and parking bays, the 400kg pedestrian roller is easier to manoeuvre.

The 1.6 tonne trench padfoot roller is remote controlled, so the operator can stay out of the trench while compacting soil in trenches, sewers and pipeline works.

The 2.7 tonne twin drum roller needs delivery or pickup. We can deliver it by tilt tray, or you can hire it as a roller and trailer package if your vehicle is rated to tow it.

Yes. Our pedestrian roller is a single drum vibratory roller suited to rolling new bitumen, as well as road-based parking bays, paths, tennis courts and cricket pitches.

Rollers suit larger areas and give a smoother finish. Plate compactors are better for tight spaces, edges and paving beds, and many jobs use both. Browse our compactors or ask your local branch.

No high risk work licence is needed for our rollers, but you need to be able to use them safely. Our team will take you through the controls when you collect, and each product page lists the PPE you’ll need.
